Utica, NY (WIBX) - Senator Joe Griffo is hosting a meeting on Thursday for employers who want to learn more about "Recharge NY." It's a new program designed to help businesses purchase low-cost power that results in retaining or increasing their workforce.

The meeting is taking place from noon to 1:30 on Conference Room B of the State Office Building on Genesee Street in Utica.

Griffo, a member of the Senate Energy and Telecommunications Committee, co-sponsored the legislation that created "Recharge NY."

He says the new program is expected to be an improvement over the Power For Jobs Program, which made energy discounts available to hundreds of businesses across the state.
