ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say shots were fired at a western New York park, spurring the evacuation of the park and a beach.

Rochester police Investigator Frank Camp says authorities are searching for four males and two females who were believed to be in a maroon 2006 Mercedes-Benz that was reported stolen from the parking lot of a golf course at Durand-Eastman Park.

The vehicle was eventually located in Rochester.

The investigation began Wednesday evening with a report of a burglary and stolen vehicle in the suburban town of Greece, which led to the park. Police say the suspects left that vehicle, fired shots and stole another vehicle. No one was injured.

The incident remains under investigation.
