Madison County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating two burglaries in the Town of Sullivan.

The first incident happened just before 1:30 yesterday afternoon, on Route 173, near East Lake Road. The victim said they were in another section of the house when the suspect broke in through a side door. A laptop and hard drive were stolen from the home.

The second burglary was reported just before five, in the 1600 block of McGraw Road. The caller said they had come home from work when they notice the front door was open and the casing had been broken. Several guns, including a Mossberg bolt-action shotgun, Ruger M22 .22 caliber rifle, Remington 870 pump-action 12 gauge shotgun, Ruger 7 mm. scoped rifle and a Daisy BB gun.

Deputies say the suspect is a dark or olive skinned man driving a metallic gold  mid-size 4 door sedan with blue and gold New York license plates. The front plate is missing from the car.
