Hallstead Man Arrested in 24 Year Old Rape Case

A Hallstead, Pennsylvania man is accused of raping a Whitney Point woman 24 years ago when she was ten years old.

59-Year-old John Whittenberg was arrested August 1 and charged with rape for the incidents that happened between September 1991 and February 1992 in Terry Township in Bradford County, where the now 34 year old woman had been living as a child.
