The Princeton Review is out with its list of Best Value Colleges for 2013 and Hamilton College in Clinton is ranked eighth on the list of best private colleges.

The colleges were judged on the quality of their instruction and the availability of financial aid.

Hamilton officials say while they are pleased to be on the list, they don't comment or promote rankings because they're concerned that they feed into the frenzy often associated with the college admission process.

When applying to colleges, they hope students will focus on what best fits them rather than on any kind of ranking.

Meanwhile, Hamilton is ranked number 18 on the Peace Corps' 2013 list of Top Colleges for small schools.

There are currently 15 alumni from Hamilton serving overseas.
