Hamilton College hosted its seventh yearly major campus-wide test of its emergency preparedness plan with the aid of the New York State Police and other local agencies.

In fulfillment of the yearly Clery Act mandate that every college conduct a test of its crisis systems, Hamilton College exercises are regarded as among the most extensive operations with multiple response teams including the New York State Police, Oneida County Sheriff's Office, NYS Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services, Clinton Fire Department, Oneida County Emergency Services, Kirkland Police Department and the Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

With an increasing number of violent incidents occurring on campuses, emergency response training has never been more important...
