Gino Geruntino, WIBX

A Hamilton man was arrested after stealing farm equipment from a field in Augusta.

Oneida County Sheriff Rob Maciol says William Darrow, 32, was arrested last night after allegedly stealing a hay wagon and plows from a field on Knoxboro Road. Investigators believe Darrow stole the items during two visits.

He then took the stolen equipment to Empire Recycling in Utica to have them scrapped for cash.

Darrow is charged with Grand Larceny.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Madison County Sheriff’s and the Hamilton Police Department.
