Hanna: Defense Bills Passes, No BRAC In 2017

There's good news for employees of Rome Lab, the Eastern Air Defense Sector and the Rome DFAS site.

The House has passed a Defense Bill for 2016 that prohibits military base closures or realignments in 2017.

Congressman Richard Hanna says the legislation is a critical measure that will bring security to Mohawk Valley defense installations.

” Rep. Hanna said. “It means no BRAC in 2017 and provides our armed services with the resources they need to respond to a diverse range of national security threats.”

Hanna says the Defense Bill also includes a 15% increase in funding for Rome Lab.
