Congressman Richard Hanna met with the commander of all Air Force Research Laboratory directorates and operations this morning.

Major General Thomas Masiello, who oversees the personnel and programs at Rome Lab, assured Hanna that there are no plans to move or close the lab.

Hanna says Masiello expressed his belief in the importance of Rome Lab’s mission and the high value that the lab’s workforce contributes to all military services and the scientific community.

Rep. Hanna stressed the importance of providing a consistent message of support for Rome Lab and backing those guarantees up with concrete actions.
