Congressman Richard Hanna returned to his alma mater this morning for an assembly with the Whitesboro High School Class of 2017.

Hanna, who is a 1969 graduate of the school, participated in the assembly in the school auditorium with the senior class and took questions from the students.

He also took a tour of the school’s science wing, which is home to a scanning electron microscope.   Whitesboro is one of only four high schools in the country with the device.

Hanna will retire in January after three terms in Congress.
