Congressman Richard Hanna presented several World War Two medals to Mary Jane Sirianni at the Masonic Care Community in Utica today.

Sirianni is the widow of Utica native Sgt. Anthony Sirianni, who served in the U.S Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1946.

Sirianni became a firefighter after returning to Utica.  He died of a heart attack in 1958 at the age of 33.

Sirianni had three children, twins sons Robert and Anthony and daughter Lorraine.

Among the medals presented to Mrs. Sirianni were the Word War Two Victory Medal, the American Campaign Medal and the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with three bronze service stars.
