Hanna Presents Word War II Veteran With Medals [VIDEO]

An 88-year old World War II Veteran from Herkimer was presented with his service medals on Friday by Congressman Richard Hanna.

Martin Sorensen served in the Navy in the American and Pacific Theaters.

Sorensen says he's "very appreciative" to receive the medals.

Hanna presented Sorensen several medals, including the Word War II Victory Medal, the American Campaign Medal and the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal.

A number of Sorensen's family members and members of the Herkimer VFW attended today's ceremony.
