Richard Hanna appears to be heading back to Congress for a third term serving the 22nd district.

Hanna scored a victory over Tea Party Republican, Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney to win Tuesday's GOP primary

Hanna received 53% of the vote.

He says it was a hard fought campaign and now that the campaigning is over, it's time to get back to work.

With no Democrat lined up to challenge Hanna, he is virtually assured to be returning to Washington.

Hanna was a guest of this morning's WIBX's First News With Keeler In The Morning, were he talked about the primary win.
