Harrisville Man Arrested for Alleged Assault of Minor

A Harrisville man is being charged with rape of a minor.

State Police have arrested 53-year-old Charles E. Orr following an investigation into alleged inappropriate contact with a child under the age of seventeen.

According to a written release from New York State Police Orr was arrested on March 22, 2016 and charged with the following:

• rape (third degree)
• criminal sexual act (third degree)
• endangering the welfare of a child

He was arraigned in Lowville and sent to the Lewis County jail in lieu of $7,500 bail.
