Hastings Woman Charged With Mishandling School Funds

Hastings, NY (WIBX) - A Hastings woman is facing a felony theft charge for allegedly mishandling a middle school's PTO and PTA money.The suspect, 43-year old Rebecca Gribbon of State Route 49, was arrested by State Police following an investigation into allegations that the former Central Square Middle School PTO Treasurer, misappropriated more than $3,000 from the accounts, from October 2010 through November 2011.

Gribbon was booked and charged with Grand Larceny-a felony. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance to face the charge on a later date in the Town of Hastings Court.
