HCCC Earns NJCAA Academic Team Honors

Herkimer, NY (WIBX) – Herkimer County Community College isn’t just home to a nationally recognized sports program – the college’s players are stars in the classroom, too.
HCCC’s women’s bowling team was named the National Junior College Athletic Association’s “Academic Team of the Year,” sporting a 3.47 team GPA.
Five other teams at the college also earned 2011-2012 All-Academic Team Awards, including Men’s cross country and Women’s tennis, softball, volleyball and swimming and diving teams.
To qualify for an All-Academic Award, a team must have an overall GPA above 3.0.
