HCCC Lands 33rd National Championship, 8th Soccer Crown

Herkimer, NY (WIBX) - The HCCC men's soccer team are new NJCAA champions, after beating regional rival Genesee Community College this past Sunday.

This marks the 33rd NJCAA championship for Herkimer and the 5th Soccer crown for Coach Aragon. "Winning the schools 8th National Championship, at home in front of all our families, our friends and the crowd that we had was pretty special" said Coach Aragon, adding "To win those 3 games by the margins we did showed how great this team really was".

This season the Generals outscored competitors 14-3 in their quest for the championship. During the season the team went 17-1, scoring more than 90 goals and only giving up 6 all year.
