Head-On Collision In Northern NY Leaves 2 Dead

CANTON, N.Y. (AP) — Police say two drivers are dead after a head-on collision in northern New York.

State police say 82-year-old Antoine St. Pierre of Tupper Lake was traveling west on State Route 68 in Canton on Thursday just after noon. St. Pierre tried to pass another car that was stopped as the driver waited to make a left turn when his car struck an eastbound car driven by 60-year-old Michael Linderman of Ogdensburg.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no passengers in either car.
