Utica, NY (WIBX) - There is an ongoing war of words between Oneida County legislator Michael Hennessy and Board Chairman Gerald Fiorini.

Earlier this week, Hennessy sent a news release to local media complaining about the Reapportionment Committee's suggestion of reducting the county board by six seats. He claimed the recommendation was predetermined by Fiorini and said the chairman has already drawn up re-districting boundaries to deplete minority and rural representation.

Fiorini responded with a letter of his own, taking exception to Hennessy's accusations, and saying Hennessy's plan of cutting the board nearly in half would be devastating to minority representation.

Hennessy has now issued another letter saying he was personally attacked, and is again asking to see the redrawn districts before the board votes on reducing its size.
