Herkimer College’s Rathbun Named Coach Of The Year

Herkimer College Men’s Baseball Coach Jason Rathbun has been named NJCAA Region III Coach of the Year and Mountain Valley Conference Coach of the Year.

Rathbun, who's from Little Falls, took over the program in 2005.

During the 11 years he has been head coach, Herkimer College has had two players drafted by the MLB, 11 regional playoff appearances, nine regional final four appearances, six regional championship games and, five World Series appearances.

The Generals, who are 45-4 on the season, won the 2015 Region III championship defeating Erie Community College this past weekend.

They'll travel to Kinston, NC where they will compete in the NJCAA Division III World Series May 23rd through the 28th.
