Herkimer Housing Authority Rebuilds With Help From National Grid
The Herkimer Housing Authority was severely affected by last summer’s flooding and is now getting some extra help.
To help offset rebuilding costs, National Grid is contributing $50,000 in flood recovery funding through their Emergency Economic Development Program.
National Grid’s John Fiume says the company is a part of the community and is proud to help.
The Authority says it sustained over $700,000 of damage to their main offices on prospect Street, which include laundry, maintenance and community rooms used by residents.
