A Herkimer man finds himself in deep trouble after threatening the lives of Herkimer Police officers and their families.

Officials say Rayvonn Burks, 25, had been arrested on an unrelated charge when he threatened the officers, saying he would burn down their homes with their families inside.

He also allegedly threatened to visit the schools and homes of the officers' children and shoot them with a rifle.

Burks is charged with two counts of making a terroristic threat and was sent to the Herkimer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $15,000 bail.
