Herkimer Man Charged In Sexual Abuse Investigation

A three-week investigation by Herkimer Police has led to the arrest of a Herkimer man in connection with a sexual abuse case involving a 15-year old girl.

43-year old Allen Abare is charged with sexual abuse and two counts of forcible touching.

Police say Abare not only had inappropriate contact with the girl, but he also possessed sexually explicit photos of the girl.

Additional charges against Abare are pending.

The alleged incident took place in late March in the Village of Herkimer.
