Herkimer Man Charged With Concealment Of Human Corpse

A Herkimer man has been arrested in connection with the discovery of a body at a home on West Lake Avenue.

58-year old Richard Howard is charged with concealment of a human corpse

Herkimer Police say Howard failed to report the death of his wife, 53-year old Lorraine Howard.

The investigation began Wednesday afternoon after neighbors told police they had not seen the couple for several days.

Police say an autopsy indicates the cause of death was cardiac arrhythmia.

They say Mrs. Howard appears to have died of natural causes sometime between January 28th and February 21st.

Toxicology results are pending.

Howard was arraigned in Herkimer Village Court and sent to the Herkimer County Jail on $15,000 bail
