Herkimer Police Arrest Larceny Suspect

A New York Mills man has been arrested in the Village of Herkimer after police responded to a larceny complaint.

Herkimer Police say Phillip Beratta, 49, was discovered to have allegedly damaged merchandise in order to steal the products from multiple local stores.

Beratta was charged with Burglary, Criminal mischief and Petit larceny and sent to the Herkimer County Jail on $15,000 bail.
