Herkimer Police Investigating Assault

Herkimer Police are investigating a reported assault with a handgun.

Police say the victim reported a masked intruder entered his apartment on the 300 block of King Street just before 10:30 Monday night and displayed what appeared to be a handgun.

The victim was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The handgun was later found to be a fake.

Police say the suspect may have been injured during the struggle.
