The Alliance For Quality Education assisted Herkimer High School students teachers and parents in holding a rally for fair school funding.
Dozens of students gathered outside the school after dismissal today in an effort to make community members and voters aware of the underfunding of Herkimer and many other Central New York Schools.

Social Studies teacher Laura Scalise says sports and arts could be next leaving the kids with little to do creatively in such a small community.

Scalise also said Herkimer has already lost business, technology and home economics classes and may have to cut their health teacher and guidance counselors to half time.
