A Herkimer woman is facing a felony charge following a visit to Oneida County Jail.

According to Sheriff Maciol, 31-year-old Amanda Pohleven was visiting an inmate Wednesday afternoon, when correctional officers found her to allegedly be in possession of an unknown substance.

The substance was secured and turned over to the forensic unit for testing. As a result it was determined the substance was suboxone.

Pohleven was taken into custody and charged with Felony Promoting Prison Contraband. She'll return to centralized arraigement court at a later date.
