Hess Agrees To Remove Cigarette Ad Signs
Utica, NY (WIBX) – Utica Mayor David Roefaro is praising the Hess Corporation for removing all cigarette advertising lawn signs from locations throughout the city.Roefaro says Hess did the right thing by taking down the signs that had been on display for several months.
The Mayor says he received complaints about the signs and said they’d affect kids who passed by them.
He says Hess heeded the city’s concerns and proved their company puts people over profits.
Hess told Roefaro they’ll continue to utilize strict policies to prevent youth smoking.
