Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced $2 million in grants for New York's Brownfield Opportunity Area Program to help revitalize economically distressed areas.

Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul shared the announcement at the Hotel Utica today during the Mohawk Valley Sustainable Development Conference.

Hochul says the funds will bring new life to businesses and neighborhoods by making use of underutilized properties, and help create jobs for New Yorkers.

There are 38 designated Brownfield Opportunity Areas in New York State.

More information on the grant opportunity is available at www.dos.ny.gov/funding/.
