Holiday Train To Make Stops In New York

The schedule of stops for the 2015 Canadian Pacific Holiday Train is now out and it is making a number of stops in New York to bring in the holiday spirit.

The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train is 1,000 feet in length with 14 brightly decorated rail cars with hundreds of thousands of lights that begins in Quebec on November 27th before making it's way across the US and Canada. The charity event is focused on raising money, food and awareness for local food banks to help those less fortunate during the holiday season.

The Canadian Pacific Railroad states:

We chose an inclusive name that covers off a season that begins with US thanksgiving and ends close to the Christmas holiday period. It's been our calling card for 16 years and we are proud to stick with it. The Holiday Train is all about raising money, food and awareness for local food banks to help those less fortunate.

The run through New York begins in Mechanicville, NY on November 28th at 5:45PM with Kira Isabella and Wes Mack performing. After departing Mechanicville the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will travel to Saratoga Springs for it's next stop then on to Fort Edward the next day where it will continue its journey through Ticonderoga, Port Henry, Plattsburgh and eventually to Rouses Point before heading to Ontario.
