Hostess Outlet Receives Last Shipment, Stays Open Little Longer

Whitesboro, NY (WIBX) - Though only a few scattered boxes remain, the Hostess Outlet Store in Whitesboro continues to remain open.

The store closed at 4:30 this afternoon, but a small handwritten note on the door encouraged customers to stop in on Thursday to pick from what's left.

After the baked good manufacturer announced its closure nearly two weeks ago, people have snatched up every Twinkie, Ho Ho and Ding Dong they could.

Last week, Hostess held its final negotiation meeting with the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco and Grain Millers Union, but the talks were unsuccessful.

And so the store's final shipment arrived this morning. Once those goods are gone, the store will be gone for good.
