Utica, NY (WIBX) - Are you a diabetic looking for a place to dispose of your used needles?

St. Elizabeth Medical Center will now have a way for you to get rid of any sharp medical insturments, such as used insulin needles.

The Household Sharps Disposal Program will be take place weekdays until 4:00 p.m (excluding holidays) in the Hospital Services Department, located in the hospital basement.

Any sharp objects should be placed in a puncture proof container clearly marked as sharp.

The program is available to individuals from private residences only.
