Syracuse, NY (WIBX) - The Hoyas defense clamped down in the final six-minutes to come from behind for a 64-56 win over No.13 Syracuse at the Carrier Dome.

The Orange led No.11 Georgetown 53-49 with 6:35 to play but the Hoyas finished the game on a 15-3 run.

Austin Freeman led a balanced attack for Georgetown (19-5, 8-4 Big East) with 14 pionts. Jason Clark and Julian Vaugh added a dozen apiece while Hollis Thompson scored 11.

Kris Joseph had 14 for the Orange who drop to 20-5 on the year and 7-5 in the Big East. Joseph was just 2 of 7 from beyond the arc. As a team, Syracuse made only 4 of 16 three-point attempts (25%). C.J. Fair had 12 points in his 28 minutes on the floor.

Syracuse will travel to No.15 Louisville for their next game on Saturday. The Cardinals lost to No.7 Notre Dame in overtime on Wednesday night, 89-79.
