The City of Utica has found a buyer for the vacant HSBC Bank Building on Genesee Street.

Mayor Robert Palmieri says Pezzolnella Construction plans to purchase and renovate the building.

Francis Pezzolanella says they plan to turn it into a mixed used building with a restaurant on the first-floor, loft apartmenrts and a roof top bar.

The purchase must be approved by the city's Urban Renewal Agency and the Common Coucil.

The purchase price is $1,000..

It's expected to take two to three years to completely renovate the building.
