Ilion Man Arrested For Alleged Child Abuse

Ilion, NY (WIBX) - An Ilion man is facing charges following the alleged abuse of a two-year old child.

Ilion Police arrested 30-year old David Comstock after receiving a report of a child being abused at a home on West North Street from a concerned neighbor.

Police say the child suffered injuries including extensive bruising to the entire buttocks area, swelling and redness to his left facial area, a bruise to the lower back area and swelling that appeared to resemble grab marks on his upper arm.

He was taken to the emergency room for treatment.

The child was turned over to his mother, who lives at a different location.

Comstock was charged with assault, endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful possession of marijuana.
