Ilion Man Charged With Assault

An Ilion man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting another man with a piece of wood from a coffee table.

Ilion Police have charged 27-year old James Allen with assault.  Allen was sent to the Herkimer County jail on$50,000 bail.

Police are not releasing any information pertaining to the identity or condition of the victim.
