Ilion Man Charged with Rape, Endangering Welfare of a Child

An Ilion man has been arrested and charged with rape.

According to a written release from Ilion Police, 24-year-old Nelson P. Johnson, III of Otsego Street was taken into custody and sent to the Herkimer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $30,000 cash bail and $60,000 bond on Thursday, September 3, 2015.

Johnson is being charged with four (4) counts of rape in the third degree and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child.  The alleged victim in the case is under the age of seventeen.
