Ilion Man Sentenced To 44 Years In State Prison For Sexual Abuse

An Ilion man has been sentenced to 44 years in state prison for his conviction on two counts of course of sexual conduct against a child.

36-year old Christopher Brown was sentenced on Thursday in Herkimer County Court by Judge John Crandall  to two consecutive terms of 22 years.

He'll also serve 10 years post release supervision.

Brown was also sentenced to two one year terms for two conviction of endangering the welfare of a child.

Brown was convicted of the charges last month following a week long jury trial.

Herkimer County District Attorney Jeffery Carpenter says from September 2016 through March of 2018, Brown engaged in sexual acts with two victims under 11 years old.
