Ilion Police Arrest Herkimer Man For Stealing Money
Ilion Police arrested and charged a man with several felonies yesterday. 56-year old Thomas E. Meddaugh of Doxtader Street, Herkimer is facing 14 counts of Falsifying Business Records, a Class E Felony, and Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree, a Class E Felony, for allegedly stealing money from a fraternal organization in Ilion.
Officials say their investigation and subsequent arrest stemmed from complaints they received of Meddaugh's alleged wrong-doing. Meddaugh was arraigned and jailed at Herkimer County Correctional Facility without bail. He is to appear to answer the charges on December 23rd at 5:00PM in the Village of Ilion Court.
