Improvements will be made at several parks and pools throughout the City of Utica in the coming weeks.

Upgrades will be made at Wankel Park’s playground, including the installation of a handicap accessible swing set.

A new swing set will also be installed at Roscoe Conkling Park.

Buckley and Addison Miller pools are undergoing a two phase improvement plan.

Phase One consists of the installation of new liners and chlorine tanks for both pools, with Phase Two including roofing, plumbing and electrical work.

The improvements were supported by the Mayor and Common Council.

Mayor Robert Palmieri said, "It is vitally important the City invest in its parks and pools as these assets provide our residents the quality of life and recreation they deserve."
