Inmate Charged With Setting Fire In Cell

Marcy, NY (WIBX) - An inmate at the Marcy Correctional Facility has been arrested for allegedly setting a fire inside his cell.

35-year old Jose Soto was charged with arson.

State Police say the fire caused about $400 in damage to the cell.

No one was injured.

Soto is currently serving a 7 to 15 year prison sentence for a conviction in Orange County for assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
