The corrections officer who was injured by an exploding package in Floyd is in critical condition at a Syracuse Hospital.

Governor Andrew Cuomo visited the officer's family on Monday and says he's receiving excellent care.

Oneida County Sheriff Rob Maciol says the FBI, ATF, the State Department of Corrections and State Police are all involved in the investigation into the incident.  He says because his office doesn't deal with these types of incidents every day, they reached out to the other agencies for additional resources.

Maciol says they still don't know if the incident is job-related.  He says besides determining who put the package there, they have to figure out why.

Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to call the Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Unit at 765-2237.
