Seven defendants in the Word of Life Church beating case have now rejected plea offers from the Oneida County District Attorney's Office.

The latest to do so are Joseph Irwin and Linda Morey, who were in court today. Irwin and Morey were both offered 18 years to life in prison.

Five other defendants turned down plea offers earlier this week.

District Attorney Scott McNamara says he was expecting the case to go to trail and isn't surprised that the pleas offers have been declined.

Bruce Leonard, the father of victims Lucas and Christopher Leonard, will be in court on Tuesday to decide on a plea offer.

The boys' mother, Deborah Leonard, has pleaded guilty to assault charges and will be sentenced to five years in prison.
