It Pays to be ‘Wicked’

Producers of the Broadway show "Wicked" have a lot to smile about.

The musical has reached the one million dollar mark in sales.

The show opened just over twelve years ago, in 2003.

The two shows that have surpassed the million dollars in sales mark, "The Lion King" and "The Phantom of the Opera," both did so after sixteen years and twenty-seven years respectively.

"Wicked: The Untold Stories of the Witches of Oz" is based on the book by Winnie Holzman.
