Former Deputy Attorney General James B. Comey is expected to be nominated by President Obama to head the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Although the White House has not publicly disclosed who will replace Robert S. Mueller III as FBI Director, the New York Times is reporting that two administration sources have confirmed the pick.

Comey is a hedge fund executive who had worked under Attorney General John Ashcroft in the administration of President George W. Bush.  President Barack Obama has yet to comment publicly about Comey's potential nomination.
