Cortland, NY (WIBX) - The New York Jets are coming back to SUNY Cortland this year for training camp.

After finishing a disappointing 8-8 last season, the team looks to rebound and make the playoffs for the third time in four years.

On July 26th, the team will arrive at training camp. Fans of the team are allowed to attend the first open practice on July 28th, getting the chance to view some of their favorite players.

Jets Head Coach, Rex Ryan, says SUNY Cortland has been an excellent second home for the team.

"The support that we receive from the College is top notch and the time that we spend in that environment enables us to focus on getting better while learning about each other and drawing closer together as a team."

Also during training camp fans can participate in Jets Fest, featuring rides and skill challenges.

Two years ago, the Jets also held camp at SUNY Cortland. More than 41,000 people visited the college during their three-week training session, providing the region's economy with nearly $6 million.
