Joseph Kennedy III Says He’s Running

(WIBX) - This is the first time in six decades without a Kennedy serving in the House or Senate.  But that's all about to change.

Through a video on his website the grandson of Robert Kennedy and great nephew of JFK says quote, "You can always count on me  to fight for small businesses, seniors, veterans, and for you, to make sure you get the constituent service you've come to expect."

A two-minute 50-second campaign spot simply titled, "I'm Running" gives voters an official first look at the candidate, whose announcement comes roughly six weeks after the younger statesman established an exploratory committee for his candidacy.

Kennedy is hoping to capture the seat currently held by Congressman Barney Frank who will be retiring this year.
