Utica, NY (WIBX) - A judge threw out a lawsuit against the Utica Police Department and one of its investigators. The suit alleged that during the execution of a search warrant, officers illegally strip searched the plaintiff, Shatasha Brown. It also alleged that items in the home were damaged and the $1,816 found in a child's jacket belonged to Brown and not her boyfriend---who was accused of selling drugs to a police informant.

The incident took place in 2010 at Brown's Steuben Street home, which she shared with her boyfriend. UPD says the lawsuit was dismissed with prejudice, which means it can not be refiled. The lawsuit was filed by Attorney Stephen Lockwood and Daniel Cafruny.
