Judge Dismisses Lawsuit Against UPD

Utica, NY (WIBX) – An Oneida County Supreme Court Judge has dismissed a lawsuit against the Utica Police Department after three days of a jury trial.
The suit was filed by Linda Carlo in connection with a 2007 incident at a bar on Varick Street calld “The Vault.”
The case involved a large fight at the tavern after the city’s St. Patrick’s Day parade.
Police say Carlo, whose son owned the bar, wanted to get away from the fight and was taken down to the cellar by a bartender.
While going down the stairs, Carlo fell and injured herself.
She claimed Utica police officers assaulted her and caused her to fall down the stairway
